Summer Word Updated 2 Sept 2010
Pack Meeting: Our next Pack meeting will be in Sept 23rd at 7:00pm at Salem Baptist Church Fellowship Hall.
Den Meetings: The next Den Meetings are Oct 7th and Oct 14th at 7:00pm
Committee Meeting: I would like to do one on 16 Sept at the Church. I will send out an email.
Training:
Popcorn Training: 26 Aug 10. I need a popcorn Kernal to step up for next year.
All registered adults (leaders and committee members) must have current youth protection training complete. If you do not have it done, go to the NCAC website click on the training tab and work your way to the Youth Protection E-training. Once complete, send me your completion certificate.
Cub Leader Specific Training (Required) is now available on line at my scouting.org. All leaders need to take this training each year and Youth Protection (every two years). Once you have taken the training print the certificate and get it to the Cubmaster
BALOO (Required to have one to camp) September 18th, Peace United Methodist Church, 801 Maple Grove Dr (behind Gander Mt) 08:00-2:00, cost 12.00 (includes lunch)
Intro to Outdoor Leader Skills (required for WEB lders to get square knot) Oct 8-9 (overnight camping)

Camp Info:
All camp achievements have been entered into Packmaster. Many scouts are just one or two tasks away from either completing an achievement or activity badge. Go into Packmaster and check out where your son is and finish it up. Notify your Den Leader when they are complete.
Check out the requirements for the Cub Scout Activity Award (use google) many scouts are very close to achieving this. If your scout qualifies, notify your Den Leader.
As a back-up to the Den Leaders you can cc me on the Outdoor Activity and/or Leave No Trace Awards.
Uniform Closet: The uniform closet has a little stuff left in it. All uniform items will be sold for 40% of the retail price. That is 60% off, what a bargain. If you have old uniforms you would like to donate, get them to myself or to Mike Iden.
